COVINGTON VILLAGE AWARDED COMMUNITY OF THE YEAR HONORS

Matzel Development, builder of the popular Covington Village active adult community in northern Ocean County, was acknowledged with five S.A.M. (Sales And Marketing) Awards—including the coveted Grand Award for Community of the Year—in a gala held on April 6 in the Palladium Ballroom at Caesars Hotel Casino, Atlantic City, New Jersey. The awards were presented by the New Jersey Builders Association (NJBA) at the 11th Annual Atlantic Builders Convention.

The builder received the 2005 Grand Award for Community of the Year in the Attached Community category. The community was judged on several design and marketing characteristics, including architecture, landscape design, interior merchandising, signage and logo and brochure.

SAM Awards winners were judged in various categories by industry experts, and selected from hundreds of entries submitted by leading homebuilders from throughout the State of New Jersey. Approximately 1000 builders and marketing professionals attended the widely anticipated event.

In addition to Community of the Year, Covington Village won S.A.M. Awards for Best Marketing Strategy; Best Brochure; Best Special Promotion; and Best Interior Merchandising.

The NJBA is a professional trade organization representing the building industry and building-related businesses. Association membership includes builders, remodelers, materials suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, lending institutions and other correlating businesses.
