HOMEBUYER
CITES OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE AT MATZEL DEVELOPMENT
COMMUNITY
January 20, 2005, will be a day that Maureen Eberle long
remembers for reasons far more telling than the seamless
closing procedure on her elegant new condominium home at
the Covington Village active adult community in northern
Ocean County. To Eberle, that date marked the culmination
of a chronicle of customer services that began several months
earlier, when she first stepped into the Covington Village
Sales Center.
“As soon as I spoke to the sales people, I knew Covington Village was my
going to be my new home,” said Eberle, a former licensed Real Estate agent
and later, a Project Manager with a new home construction firm. The Convington
Village homeowner, who hails from Basking Ridge in north-central New Jersey,
equated the quality and consistency of customer services provided by the builder,
with her new home’s design and floor plan attributes. “I felt right
at home immediately; with the home design, the construction quality, the details,
and with the builder’s attention to my needs. “I moved in during
a severe snowstorm at the end of January, and expected moving day delays or
even a cancellation. But instead, the parking lot was shoveled
for me, the walkway to the building was already cleared and my closing went
as
smoothly as the entire construction process did from the very beginning. That
experience showed more than just common courtesy. It reflected how well I was
treated by the builder since day one, all through construction and options
selection, right up until closing and beyond. I even wrote
a letter to Greg (Matzel), the
President of the building firm, to express my appreciation for everything his
team had done.
Eberle, whose career as a Real Estate professional required
a high level of customer service expertise in its own right,
remarked about how the sales team
went out
of its way to introduce her to her new home. “It just happened to be
the day before the community’s Grand Opening when I visited Covington
Village,” she
said. “The sales people were nice enough to do a special ‘Open
House’ just
for me. That really told me something about their commitment to an individual’s
needs.” Eberle chose the Abbey home design, a one-bedroom model
with an open floor plan that includes a kitchen, living room/dining
room combination,
a large
full bathroom
and a big walk-in closet off the master bedroom. The two other available
home styles are a one-bedroom with den and a two bedroom
with two full bathrooms.
An 11,400 sq. ft. clubhouse is currently under construction and is planned
to open in late Spring or early Summer of this year. A secure, gated community
surrounded
by preserved woodlands, Covington Village is easily accessible to Route 70

the National
Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and twelve from the New Jersey Builders
Association.
