COVINGTON VILLAGE REPEATS AS COMMUNITY OF THE YEAR WINNER

February 27, 2005 - The New Jersey Shore Builders Association (NJSBA) has echoed the sentiment of the home buying public by presenting Matzel Development with thirteen commendations for its Covington Village community, including the builder’s second consecutive Grand Award for Community of the Year. Headquartered in Ocean Township, Monmouth County, Matzel Development received the prestigious acknowledgements for excellence at the third annual F.A.M.E. Awards ceremony held on February 23 at the Grand Marquis in Old Bridge.

Matzel Development was further well represented at the podium, by receiving awards for Vice President of Construction of the Year (Ted Steckbeck), and in the active adult midrise community category, garnered honors for Best Clubhouse; Best Landscaping; Best Interior Design and Best Sales Office, as well as seven other awards in various marketing, advertising and signage categories. “Winning the Grand Award for Community of the Year for two consecutive years is a credit to our entire organization’s commitment to providing homebuyers with an active adult community like no other in Ocean County,” said Greg Matzel, President of Matzel Development. ”Remarkably, but not surprisingly, our dedicated team of professionals was even able to surpass the 12 F.A.M.E. Awards that we received last year,” he said.
